Translating behavioral science into practical training and organizational change
I provide research-informed training and consultation for health care systems, academic programs, community organizations, and interdisciplinary teams.
My work helps organizations translate broad commitments to culturally responsive and equitable care into concrete skills, workflows, and supports that professionals can use in practice.
Let’s work together!
To discuss a training or consultation, please contact me with a brief description of your organization, audience, goals, and preferred timeline.
Training
Trainings can be tailored to the goals, setting, and experience of each audience. I combine research evidence with case examples, structured reflection, clinical or organizational vignettes, video-based learning, and opportunities to practice new skills.
Common areas include:
Delivering culturally responsive behavioral health care
Understanding how social and structural contexts affect health and clinical care
Assessing and responding to acculturative and migration-related stress
Supporting Community Health Workers who deliver behavioral interventions
Preventing and responding to suicide risk in community-based programs
Using evidence-based strategies to address stress, anxiety, and burnout
Developing multicultural peer-consultation structures
Applying implementation science to intervention delivery and organizational change
Consultation
I consult with research teams, health care systems, academic programs, and community organizations on the development, adaptation, implementation, and evaluation of behavioral health interventions. My consultation integrates research evidence with careful attention to community priorities, cultural and contextual fit, organizational capacity, and the realities of real-world service delivery.
Consultation can address community-engaged intervention development, cultural and contextual adaptation, implementation planning, provider and Community Health Worker training, participant safety protocols, fidelity assessment, program evaluation, and strategies to support equitable reach and sustainment. I can also help teams identify implementation barriers and facilitators, select appropriate frameworks and outcomes, develop practical monitoring tools, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Each consultation is tailored to the project’s goals and stage of development. Engagements may support a focused methodological or implementation question, an intervention or training initiative, or the development of longer-term organizational infrastructure.
